"Why the name 'El Tizconcito'?"
In Spanish, a 'tizón' means burning coal.
The restaurant owner, Anselmo, grew up in the countryside of Mexico and as a child, worked alongside his father to prepare food everyday. One of his tasks was to throw chunks of coal into the stove and so, his father called him his little tizón. Hence El Tizconcito, or 'The Little Tizón'.
